Contextual Chat uses the Knowledge Base to generate answers. Our AI tutor generates responses by considering both the current question and the context of the conversation history. This means that each time you interact with the AI, it reviews previous exchanges to provide more relevant and tailored answers.
While responses are based on the context, they may not always be identical each time you ask the same question. This variation is expected due to the nature of large language models, which adapt responses dynamically based on the ongoing conversation.
To get started, you’ll need to upload documents into the Knowledge Base. These files form the foundation for all contextualised responses.
Head to your knowledge base, click on [ Set Up Contextualised Chat ] to get started

Select the knowledge group you want to store the document(s) in. If you’re a new user, a default knowledge group will be created for you.

Select Your Document(s)
Choose how you’d like to add content into your knowledge base— three options are available:
Upload from Your Computer
Select files directly from your PC or device. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, and PPTX.

Import from a Webpage URL
Paste a webpage link. The content will be extracted and summarised into a new document.

Note: When you paste a URL, only that page’s content is extracted — subpages or links won’t be included. If you want content from other parts of the site, you'll need to paste those URLs individually.

Import from Integration Sources
Pull content from LMS platforms once integration is set up.

Upload and Process
Once your document(s) are uploaded, sit back and let the AI tutor process your document(s)! When the processing is complete, you can head to test out contextual chat!
